ADVERTISEMENT FOR SEALED BIDS/PROPOSALS

FOR SALE OF REAL PROPERTY

Buford Downtown Development Authority

 

The Buford Downtown Development Authority is accepting sealed bids/proposals for the purchase of a certain parcel of land consisting of 32 +/- acres, tax parcel 7-297-051, Buford Highway, Buford, Gwinnett County, Georgia.  The property has a graded pad that currently yields approximately 21 +/- acres. No other improvements are present on the property. 

All bids shall be received by 4 p.m., March 5, 2019 at Buford City Hall, 2300 Buford Highway, Buford, Georgia.  The envelope shall bear the name:

City of Buford

Buford Highway Bid/Proposal

and shall be sealed.  Bids/Proposals shall provide the total proposed purchase price and the use of the property which is presently zoned light industrial (M-1).  The DDA and City anticipates that the zoning or use of the property will remain light industrial.  The prevailing bid/proposal, based on price and proposed use/development of the property, shall be afforded an exclusive thirty (30) day period in which to close on the property.  Bids shall be accompanied with refundable earnest money equaling five percent (5%) of the proposed purchase price in certified funds.  Earnest money shall be fully refunded to all unsuccessful bidders and to the highest responsive and responsible bidder if the parties are unable to close. 

The sealed bids/proposals shall be opened on March 5, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at a meeting of the Buford Downtown Development Authority at Buford City Hall, Training Room, 2300 Buford Highway, Buford, Georgia 30518.  The Buford Downtown Development Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
